Requirements
- At least 1 year of previous experience in a PACU setting
- Current RN License in the state of Louisiana
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school of Nursing
- Proof of COVID Vaccination
- Current Job Fit Physical
- Current PPD or Chest X-Ray
- CPR/BLS Certification
- ACLS Certification
Responsibilities
- Provide care for post-operative patients recovering from anesthesia, including general, monitored anesthesia care (MAC), regional, and local anesthesia.
- Monitor, assess, and intervene when necessary to maintain patient safety and provide diligent care; demonstrate the ability to handle emergency situations in a prompt, professional manner.
- Formulate a plan of care, plan/implement set priorities for nursing action, and perform ongoing assessments.
- Maintain thorough technical and working knowledge of anesthetic drugs and side effects, administer medications and initiate IVs as per physician orders, and communicate any abnormal findings to the anesthesia team.
- Comply with unit policies and procedures.
Pay Rate: $50 per hour
Shift: 7AM - 4PM Monday – Friday
