This Access Registrar - Emergency Department position is an Emergency Relief Opportunity that will work on an as needed basis requiring, variable shifts. Requires availability for weekend and holiday coverage.
**ADDITIONAL PAY FOR SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL**
Position Summary:
The Access Registrar will work in the emergency department which is a 24/7 operation and is responsible for obtaining accurate, pertinent demographic and insurance information prior to services, thus reducing financial risk of third party denials and delayed collection processes for services both at on and off site facilities.
Position Requirements:
Education: High School diploma or GED is required.
Experience:
- One year of customer service experience required.
- One year of Hospital experience in the areas of registration and /or patient accounts or experience in a physician's office practice preferred.
