Koch Fertilizer Ft. Dodge is looking for a highly motivated Rotating Reliability Specialist to become part of the Reliability team at our fertilizer plant of about 80 employees near Ft. Dodge, IA. The Mechanical Reliability Specialist will work cross functionally with Koch Reliability, Operations, Maintenance, and EH&S teams to help drive improvement of the plant’s reliability.

This is a 9/80-day shift (every other Friday off) traveling up to 30% of the time. The successful candidate will be on-call to support our 24/7 operation.

What You Will Do In Your Role

• Perform unit rounds and collect vibration data and lubrication samples on critical rotating equipment
• Review vibration data from manual and online collection and make recommendations for appropriate follow-up
• Review reports from lube oil analysis and make recommendations for appropriate follow-up
• Assist Maintenance, Operations, and other plant personnel in troubleshooting rotating equipment
• Assist with development of outage scopes and support outages throughout all stages
• Perform incident investigations and Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFAs) as needed
• Complete engineering workorders, Management of Change (MOCs), and job plans as needed to drive improvement in our reliability
• Support Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) with equipment strategy optimization and development
• Support other plants the fleet as needed

• Climb stairs/ladders, work at heights up to100 ft. in all types of weather, lift and carry up to 25 lbs.

• Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Willing and able to comply with the physical requirements

What Will Put You Ahead

• BS in Engineering
• Experience with rotating equipment maintenance and/or engineering and/ or job planning capacity
  
• Level 1 or 2 vibration and/or lubrication certifications
• Experience with reliability improvement tools (Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA), Preventative/Predictive maintenance, KPIs)
