Daily Responsibilities of a Remote Prior Authorization Pharmacist:

WORK FROM HOME

• Must be licensed in the state of North Carolina

SUMMARY

The basic function of the pharmacist is (1) review and complete criteria based prior authorization as per policy and procedure, (2) provide on-call after hours pharmacist availability for urgent PA requests and (3) provide internal pharmacist support to the PA team and member services department.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Active state licensed pharmacist in state of residence (BS Pharmacy or Pharm D) with current license to practice with no restrictions.

Active North Carolina state licensed pharmacist (BS Pharmacy or Pharm D) with current license to practice with no restrictions.

Minimum of 1 to 3 years experience in PBM, retail or mail pharmacy experience.

PA experience.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Ability to quickly assess and adapt to constantly changing situations.

Required to possess a high mental agility and alertness.

Requirements for this position:

• COVID vaccine required
• Clear and Active Licensed Registered Pharmacist in North Carolina
• 1-3 years experience in Prior Authorization and specialty medication experience coming from a PBM, retail or Mail Pharmacy
• Knowledge of Access, Power Point, and Visio is preferable.
• Must be computer literate – knowledge of Excel and Word.

Hours or shift of a Remote Prior Authorization Pharmacist:

• 40 hours per week, Shift: Training: M-F 8-4:30pm CST
• Shift After Training: either M-F 10:30am to 7pm CST OR Tues - Sat 8:30am to 5pm CST
