Render Wrangler Job at Mousetrappe
Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the VFX and Technical team, the render wrangler is responsible for helping the team cross the finish line during delivery. This individual will help ensure that media submissions are pushing through the render farm correctly, identifying render glitches, and helping resolve issues where possible. This is a temporary position, looking for someone comfortable with a variety of media pipeline tools and softwares that has an extremely detail oriented eye and can help call attention to issues. Position could be between 4-6 weeks in length and could include some shift work, local to our office in Burbank.
Responsibilities:
- Managing the pipeline and nightly artist submissions
- Version tracking and quality control of the final renders
- Monitoring and optimizing the rendering processes on the render farm
- Ensuring established priorities are met
- Ensuring that render jobs are properly prioritized in the queue system so that project goals are met while monitoring the render farm’s health and status on a regular basis;
- Managing and completing basic bug fixes to project files when needed.
- Communicating with the production team about outstanding issues, as well as overall render farm performance and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Understanding of VFX / Animation Pipelines
- Knowledgeable with a Windows platform
- Minimum experience with Adobe CC, Maya, and Cinema
- Knowledge of a render farm manager, such as Deadline, is a plus
