Repair/Soldering Technician Job at Totalution

Totalution Plano, TX

Job summary:

The repair technician will perform manual soldering, and repairs using related tools, repair and rework procedures.

We are looking for a Product Repair Technician who also can do soldering, who is not afraid of challenges, and will work on a wide range of Product Repairs across a broad perspective of equipment.

Shift and Schedule:

  • Full-time(1st shift, 2nd shift)
  • Monday- Friday, plus weekends
  • Flexibility to work overtime and weekend as needed is required

Location:

  • East Plano (Near George Bush & Jupiter)

Pay rate:

  • Pay $16-20.00 per hour
  • Paid weekly

Job responsibilities:

  • Replace and re-work BGA and Non-BGA micro-electronic components using automated and hand soldering equipment
  • Handle through-hole soldering, and various types of SMT components
  • Deal with re-flow of solder paste, bridging, probe marks, and other similar surface conditions in solder joints
  • Understand electronic circuits, read complex schematic diagrams, and layout to trace components in order to perform troubleshooting on repair
  • Ensure the conformity of products by performing basic quality auditing, and troubleshooting functions

To be successful in the role, you must have:

  • Proven track record with experience soldering various types of IC packages such as; BGA, CSP, CBGA, LGA, MLF, PGA, QFN, QFP, SOIC, SOT, etc.
  • Proven track of experience with manual soldering methods such as direct contact soldering, and soldering using hot air
  • Proven track record of experience and handling BGA Repair station, and X-ray machines
  • Experience with Surface Mount Assembly components, Ceramic components, and connectors
  • Ability to resolve problems, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and should be organized and structured
  • Readiness to learn Production databases, new technologies, Processes, and eager to develop competence in the technical domain
  • Contribute to the overall success of the Repair department team goals, and meet volume production needs
  • Ability to work overtime and/or flexible shift hours when required

Key Qualifications:

  • High school diploma; technical school preferred with minimum five (5) years of experience in a Manufacturing/Production environment, and
  • Certification to IPC-A-610 /IPC-J-STD-001 soldering standards (preferred)

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
