Reporting and Data Analyst

Position Summary: The Data & Reporting Analyst supports Project Access NOW’s (PANOW) five programs to ensure accurate and complete data collection and reporting. Working in partnership with the Director of IT and Strategic Projects and the Director of Programs and People, the role will be integral to aligning external funding and reporting requirements with internal workflows. This position will work closely with a variety of stakeholders to ensure that the appropriate data collection systems are in place to understand PANOW impact and deliver accurate and timely reports.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for importing, exporting, cleaning, transforming, validating, and modeling data for multiple programs and projects
  • Work closely with executives, program managers, and staff to meet reporting requirements in a timely manner by generating ongoing and ad-hoc reports
  • Translate reporting requirements into technical requirements for implementation specialists and program staff
  • Develops policies, procedures, workflows, and documentation to support data collection with differing teams
  • Designs templates and dashboards to support communicating data across a variety of environments
  • Advise on data requirements, collection, and clean-up
  • Analyzes diverse datasets including enrollments, claims, service requests, financial, etc.
  • Collaborate with programs, implementation staff, and partner to identify and address data issues and issue corrections when necessary
  • Identify and recommend improvement initiatives, including changes to business processes to improve the quality of data and fill gaps in data, including HIPAA compliance 2
  • Partners with externally facing team members to identify strategies that ensure data aligns with policy needs
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with large, complex, and messy data sets
  • Experience with analyzing data using spreadsheets, databases, and programing languages ex: VBA, Python, SQL
  • Experience in health care administration, data analysis, or related field
  • Creative problem-solving
  • Outstanding organizational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Ability to work with a variety of external and internal stakeholders to ensure expectations are set and achieved
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to define and document business processes
  • Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office, 365, SharePoint and ability to work with online forms and systems
  • Must be able to pass a background check and become HIPAA certified

Education/Experience:

  • Education, Experience, Transferrable Skills
  • Creative, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in quality improvement, relational databases, SQL, and reporting tools
  • Ability to work independently and as a team
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written
  • Ability to prioritize tasks
  • High level of organizational skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate with a variety of stakeholders
  • Excellent interpersonal skills are preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Working Conditions:
