TEMPORARY POSITION THROUGH SEPTEMBER 30, 2022
POSITION SUMMARY:
This particular Research Assistant (RA) will be tasked with supporting the NIH funded Pacific Alliance Against COVID-19 (PAAC) Research Study, which is conducted by WCCHC, in partnership with the University of Hawaii at Manoa. This RA will assist with the PAAC study objectives aimed at preventing the spread of COVID-19 through various prevention strategies in local communities. The RA will be mobilized in the launch of a pilot surveillance point-of-care testing strategy. RA will assist with conducting qualitative interviews and focus groups of various community stakeholders. RA will also assist with other tasks delegated by the PAAC study’s Principal Investigator/s and Project Manager that are relevant to the study. RA will be cognizant of and abide by the various pilot testing site policies and procedures regarding their code of conduct and all other state and federal regulations, including those pertinent to COVID-19.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
1. High school diploma or equivalent is required
2. Certificate/Completion of COVID-19 Contact Tracing course (preferred), i.e.: Johns Hopkins University, Coursera, Hawai’i Pacific University, Pearson Advance, ASTHO
3. Knowledge of community based participatory research approach
4. Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, teleconference applications, and social media
