Research Coordinator Job at Youth Villages

Research Coordinators support the Research Department in web-based data collection (such as online surveys) and analysis of the project data. Research Coordinators develop and maintain projects in REDCap related to data collection and evaluation needs of the organization. This may include projects for internal programs and administrative departments, GuideTree development, Partner organizations, and external collaborators. This position focuses heavily on data quality, ensuring that data is collected and reported accurately and efficiently based on project needs. Projects can cover a wide variety of needs, such as collecting data for Program Model Reviews, post-discharge client surveys, staff satisfaction and feedback, and contractual data requirements, etc. Research Coordinators work with staff in other departments (Clinical Services, Partners, Residential, etc.) to ensure project needs are met in a timely manner. Projects may be ad hoc to address a specific one time need or ongoing that require continued maintenance. Most projects occur on a set schedule (monthly, quarterly, or annually), but Research Coordinators must be flexible and willing to take on ad hoc tasks.
Responsibilities
Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university is required
Research experience required, with two to three years of related administrative research experience preferred
Must be detail oriented and have excellent verbal and critical thinking skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required; advanced knowledge in Excel desired
Proficiency in REDCap and SQL is preferred

Responsibilities
- In consultation with department leaders and key stakeholders, help conceptualize what data needs to be collected and determine how the REDCap project will be structured
- Build projects and test them prior to deploying
- Monitor the response rates of survey projects
- Create reports providing data from completed projects
- Participate in scheduled and ad hoc meetings with staff who have requested a project
- Help troubleshoot issues that may arise, such as survey links not working
- Train staff in other departments who have access to pull data
- Ensure project deadlines are met and closely monitor the quality of the data collected
This position can work from any location.
Requirements
