This is a Part time role at the Purina Animal Nutrition Research Farm in Gray Summit, MO. Would work no more than 29 hours a week.
Tactical role required to execute research protocols at the beef department. This role is needed to: mix feed, deliver feed/hay to animals, clean facilities, work cattle, doctor cattle, vaccinate cattle, repair facilities, identify sickly cattle, works rotational weekends and holidays. Capable of lifting fifty pounds repeatedly. Working in all kinds of weather conditions outside. Some maintenance to grounds, weed eating, spraying weeds, and painting. Team player working with a diverse group of people.
Work week Shift 7-3:30 pm. Occasionally 6-2:30 pm. Weekend shift is 6-2:30 pm. Works weekends as needed. This role works 2-3 holidays a year as needed as well.
This role is used to fill in as needed when we are short handed or needing extra help on busy days during the week. This role will also be required to work weekends as needed. At times it can be every other, or back to back if work load requires so. Some weeks this role will be 29 hours, some weeks maybe only 16 hours. So flexibility is a must for this role.
Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience driving forklift, tractor, UTV
- Ability to lift 50 #
- Basic computer skills
Preferred Experience:
- Cattle animal care experience
- Tractor/forklift experience
