About the Residential Counselor Position:
- We are currently offering all substitute residential counselor optional temporary part time! Substitute residential counselors are per diem workers and are required to work a minimum of 3 shifts per month but can pick and choose and their schedule based on open shifts. Temporary part time residential counselors receive a pay increase for all hours worked and are guarantee a minimum of 2 shifts each week! You get to pick any two days/times available that meet your schedule. Schedule is guaranteed for 1-2 months at a time. At any point, you can drop back to a substitute residential counselor and work 3+ shifts each month.
- The counselor will provide parent education, life skill support, and milieu management within the treatment setting providing residential services to pregnant and parenting individuals and their children.
- Responsibilities also include transportation, in the moment support, documentation, and other duties as assigned.
- Collaborate with a team of professionals to ensure high-quality integrated services for individuals with mental health and substance use treatment needs.
- Opportunities to provide nurturing care to young children in a fun and fast-paced environment.
- Comprehensive onboarding and ongoing training provided.
- Opportunity for clinical supervision toward licensure and/or credentialing attainment.
- $2.50/hour shift differential offered for weekend hours (Friday 5pm-Monday 7am)
What We Look For:
- Bachelor's degree in a human services-related field is strongly preferred; individuals pursuing Bachelor's degree and with relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
- Experience providing care to young children is necessary.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment; flexibility, adaptability, and open-mindedness necessary.
- Experience working in a residential treatment setting is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license required.
