Are you the Residential Counselor we have been looking for? In this position, you will be able to convey your passion for helping others with a dynamic team by bringing an energetic and positive approach while working with our students!

Journey Home is an intensive Group Home setting for adolescents that specializes in trauma informed care. Journey Home provides 24-hour comprehensive care including a full clinical staff, nursing staff, and direct care staff.

JRI Provides The Training So That:

• YOU will interact at all time in a professional and ethical mannaer with boys, families, caregivers, collaterals, collegues and visitors at the program.
• YOU will provide trauma-informed, strengths based treatment.
• YOU will implement all therapeutic interventions in the most respectful, safest, and least restrictive manner possible.
• YOU will demonstrate familiarity and understanding with each boy's history, symptom presentation, therapeutic goals and special plans.

Requirements:

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; High School Diploma/GED required.
• Able to become MAP (Medication Administration Policy) certified within 90 days of employment.
• Group Home or Mental Health program setting experience preferred; experience working with specialized populations of adolescents preferred.
• Ability to work alone in an unsupervised environment.
• Maintains valid driver’s license as transporting students is required.
• Available to work evenings, holidays, weekend shifts as required.
• At JRI, you will learn to provide physical interventions and verbal de-escalations to provide the safest therapeutic atmosphere for our students!
• Acceptable CORI and OIG background checks will be performed.
