Residential Sales Assistant Job at Twin City Hardware
Job Overview
Assist the Residential Sales team by helping provide customer service and maintaining a clean, organized showroom.
Essential Job Functions
- Assist customers in showroom
- Put hardware samples back on the displays / order missing samples, as needed
- Dust displays weekly & clean and wipe down table in showroom
- Organize, stock and order vendor literature
- Keep discount shelf organized and presentable
- Organize stock area of parts and samples by vendor
- Create PowerPoint picture packets for customers
- Type up quotes, as needed
- Order customer samples, as needed
- Work with the Purchasing department to ensure residential stock items are in stock in the warehouse
- Provide back-up support for Residential Sales staff when they are unavailable or out of office
Skills Requirements
- Basic customer service skills
- Be willing to learn new products and services
- General computer knowledge in Windows and Google based environments
- Ability to learn TCH computer system, Microsoft Business Center (MBC)
- Retail sales experience in residential hardware preferred, but not required
- Self-motivated, organized individual that can manage time effectively and with minimal supervision
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels of organization and customers
- Favorable results from a criminal background check
Working Conditions
Office environment involving extended periods of computer work, sitting or standing. Other requirements may include lifting display boards (10 pounds) occasionally, driving to customer job sites as needed and walking.
