King Home Care is a locally owned and operated home medical equipment business. We provided medical services throughout Western Kentucky for over 50 years. King Home Care is looking for a Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist primarily for our Owensboro, KY location. There will be coverage of Hartford and surrounding areas as well.
The job is full time Monday-Friday 8:30am to 5pm, No Weekends or Major holidays. No In-Home setups. We supply CPAP, BiPAP, Oxygen and Nebulizers.

Responsibilities/Objectives

• Be an active, present leader with staff in running the daily operations of the branch.
• Responsible for implementing and evaluating therapeutic respiratory services to assist physicians in the management of patients with cardiopulmonary and related disorders.
• Responsible for education of all respiratory and related equipment to patients and staff.
• Responsible for all respiratory related equipment (i.e. CPAPs, BiPAPs, conservers, etc.).
• Responsible for all follow up visits/calls for all respiratory related equipment or services.
• Assist in working with insurance carriers for prior approval, justifications and approval of payment of equipment and supplies.
• Assist in the evaluation of new respiratory products and equipment.
• Demonstrates strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
• All other duties as assigned by Administrator or Director.

Job Knowledge/Objectives

• Exemplifies leadership and strong work ethic, interpersonal skills, and relationship building with customers, area physicians, and other referral sources.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of the working aspects of home health care.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of office equipment (including adding machine, copier, fax machines and company software such as Brightree, Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Demonstrates proper telephone etiquette.
• Demonstrates general filing principles.
• Demonstrates working knowledge of all respiratory equipment provided by King Drug and Homecare.
• Demonstrates knowledge of and abides by all Federal and State rules and regulations governing respiratory therapy.
• Demonstrates knowledge of equipment and processes from intake, delivery to reimbursement.
