Restaurant Hostess Job at Barrel & Vine
Barrel & Vine, located in Downtown Lemont, is looking to add to our front of house team!
We are looking for a highly motivated and capable Host/Hostess. This is a fast paced, high volume restaurant and we're looking to build our team as soon as possible. We are looking for an enthusiastic Host/Hostess to provide an excellent guest dining experience. Our bar features crafted cocktails, local and global wines and an extensive whiskey list. The New American cuisine menu is prepared in our scratch kitchen with the freshest ingredients.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Accommodate any special needs or requests of guests (i.e.: disabilities, etc.)
- Demonstrate genuine hospitality and set the stage for an exceptional dining experience by making every single guest feel welcome upon arrival
- Engage in friendly conversation as you seat guests in a timely fashion
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and complete cleaning as assigned
- Make reservations when guests call or in-person
- Manage restaurant waiting list during high volume to accurately set guest expectations
- Sincerely thank Guests as they leave and invite them to return
- Have knowledge of the menu to explain offerings to Guests
- Ensure an exceptional To-Go experience for every Guest
- Enter orders in proper sequence
- Able to operate POS system for transactions
Requirements:
- Must have upbeat, outgoing and positive attitude
- Must be able to assist guests and possess great guest relations skills
- Ability to work positively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively within a team
- Proficient on a reservation system (i.e.: OpenTable, etc.)
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $13.00 per hour
