Crowne Plaza Resort is looking to fill an hourly restaurant PM supervisor position.


Crowne Plaza Resort Asheville Food & Beverage Supervisor oversees all aspects of the dining room, lounge and room service including procurement of staff and supplies as well as upholding of all established standards, training of staff and scheduling need for the department.


We are looking for an energetic, positive and confident person. Someone who is a self-starter and does not mind to get his/her “hands dirty”.

Job Brief

A successful Restaurant Supervisor will be present in the service areas during meal times, ensure that safety and sanitation codes are followed, and train staff to provide service in accordance with our brand standards. This manager will work with other food and beverage management and coordinate with kitchen staff on menus, specials, and food preparations to accommodate preferences and allergies. They also examine the cleanliness of the venue, such as the condition of the floors, tables, widows, lighting and walls prior to set hours of operation.

PM Restaurant Supervisor Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all aspects of the dining room is ready before posted hours of operation, including the dining tables set to standard, staff in uniform and briefed on the days goals and projections
  • Ensure floors, buffet area, widows, lighting and walls are set and clean according to established standards prior to service
  • Interact with the guest during service constantly to respond to any special requests and to ensure guest satisfaction and to remedy any complaints prior to the guest departure
  • Monitor staff and guests and respond to questions, complaints, or comments that may arise
  • Ensure the proper side work is assigned and completed by scheduled staff to leave the next shift set for service
  • Be present on the floor
  • Administrative duties include but are not limited to scheduling, payroll and employee records
  • Coordinate with management regarding staff recognition and counseling
  • Maintain the “whatever it takes” mantra and always focus on teamwork and guest satisfaction
  • Coverage of smaller banquet events and fill in with line level duties when needed when budget or circumstances require such
  • Beverage ordering and inventory

This a PM hourly position Tuesday to Saturday. Hours vary but are usually scheduled 2p-11p or 3p-12a.


The Restaurant Supervisor will be scheduled for about 45 hours, so some overtime will be available. If necessary, the supervisor will cover bartender and server shifts with supervisor pay and tips.


During slow season: January/February our supervisors have priority in scheduling. The work 40 hours, often covering serving or/and bartending shifts.
