Job Description: The sales associate, whom we like to refer to as the tea slinger, is the face of our brand. They are the first, and sometimes only, person our customers see. Their main goals are to educate our guests through passion and belief in the products and to take pride in what they do. The tea slinger is encouraged to live and breathe all things tea. Upselling customers and informing them of our amazing deals, as well as taking initiative on making our store the best version of itself is a must. They are required to have good team skills and a great attitude.
Roles & Responsibilities: The roles & responsibilities of the Tea Slinger include, but are not limited, to the following:
+complete all obtc training & pass obtc exam prior to working as a scheduled employee
+continuously educate on obtc products - teas, honey, spices, etc.
+interact with each & every guest and provide them with the best possible experience
+inform guests of all health benefits & guide toward specific products based off of their needs
+daily cleaning tasks & opening/closing duties
+count drawers at opening/closing and submit daily deposit along with all paperwork
+receive inventory correctly & price/display in store
+update displays to keep store image and feel fresh
+take initiative on efficiency tools and communication
+work side by side with team to promote teamwork/success
+work toward all store goals (daily, average ticket, items per ticket)
+arrive to work on time
+participate in all store contests actively
+must work weekend & holidays
+follow all procedures and protocols put in place by ownership/management
+utilize chain of command and work with management team to resolve issues
+come into work with a positive attitude & leave personal issues at the door
+actively communicate with team
+stock all necessary backstock of teas, displays, and products daily
+participate in monthly staff meetings
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $13.50 - $15.00 per hour
