The purpose of your role
The purpose of your role is to first and foremost sell our beautiful products. When we talk about selling we mean selling the Radley Way, through offering exceptional customer service and ensuring Radley fans have a great experience when they visit one of our stores. Furthermore you are an ambassador for our brand and your role is to uphold the Radley image at all times.
As a Supervisor, you are a vital link between store management and the rest of the team, ensuring that communication across, up, down and sideways is flowing well and actively ensuring all team members are pulling in the same direction. You are a team leader and therefore an example to how the rest of the team should be performing in their role as well as acting as a calming influence in a sometimes pacey and high pressured selling environment.

 Customer Service & Product Excellence: Providing an exceptional level of customer service ensuring that by the end of their experience in store, customers leave with a beaming smile on their face (preferably with a bag of goodies too!) This can be achieved through;
o Offering customers a positive and enthusiastic service
o Prioritising the customer’s needs at all times
o Offering great brand and product knowledge
o Taking an active interest in learning about our products to enhance customer experience
o Adopting the Radley approach to selling
o Using open questions to ascertain customer needs and adapting style appropriately
o Resolving customer complaints
o Processing transactions efficiently and accurately
o Helping to build a customer base that returns to the store time after time
 Target Focused when it comes to you & the rest of the team:
o To strive to meet and exceed all set targets and KPIs set for you as well as team goals.

o In addition, it is vital that you are aware of the targets set for Sales Assistants and that you offer encouragement where appropriate to support them in achieving the objectives in place.
 Brand image: To uphold the Radley image through playing a part in;
o Personal appearance
o Your attitude to our company (in and out of the workplace)
o Visual merchandising
o Housekeeping
o Stock replenishment
o Maintaining and tweaking window displays
o Ensuring all point of sale articles are being used as per Radley guidelines
 Team Leader responsibilities:
o Create an environment that ensures that they know that you are accessible at all times to provide support and guidance (on your shift that is, we do not expect you to offer a 24/7 service!)
o At times you may be required to open, close, respond to alarm callouts or even manage the store. Make the most of these opportunities to gain the necessary experience and develop your skills at a management level.
o Responsibility for handover notes between shifts.
o An understanding of key contacts within the business, developing relationships with other stores and head office.
o An understanding of business tools such as rotas and sales reports.
o Support with team observations for performance reviews.
 Health, Safety & Wellbeing: To ensure that you are aware of and carry through with all relevant Health & Safety regulations that may impact on yourself, another team member or visitor to the store. For example, reporting damage to fixtures and fittings in the store as well as reacting appropriately to accidents by communicating these to store management.
 Communication: To communicate regularly with your immediate team to make sure that everyone understands their duties and effectively covers the operational needs of the store. For example, sharing successes and how you achieved them as well as providing a handover before you leave and before others start.
 Daily ‘To Dos’: Working as part of a team to complete daily tasks (which may be rotated March 2013 on a regular basis, just to keep things interesting!) such as;
o Cleaning
o Banking
o Keeping the stockroom in an orderly fashion and adhering to Radley guidelines that apply to all back areas.
o Dealing with deliveries
o Administration duties as required
 Team activities: Attending and at times presenting to the team through morning briefing sessions to ensure that all family members are kept up to date with company news and understand that the plan of attack for that day.
 Brand Ambassador: You are an ambassador for our brand; from the way you present yourself to the knowledge you have of our brand and the enthusiasm and motivation that drives everything you do. Your role is to uphold the Radley image at all times.
 Those ad hoc duties: As with all roles, you may at times be required to carry out ad hoc duties; whether that is to support another team member, to take on additional responsibilities or to get involved in project work that may impact not only on your department but also the wider business.

 Great communication skills, with the ability to adapt your style dependant on your audience, whether that is a Sales Assistant or store management.
 Good at building and maintaining working relationships, ensuring that team members are able to approach you for guidance.
 In the absence of store management, oversee the smooth running of the store and the team.
 Ability to diffuse challenging situations with customers or team members.
 Ability to remain calm under pressure.
 An excellent grasp of the written and spoken English language as well as sound Maths skills.
