Retail Store Associate / Stocker

The Retail Store Associate Stocker will unload deliveries, stock and replenish shelves, displays, rotate products and establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages our customers to return. In addition, the stocker gains life experience that goes far beyond just providing discounted products in a friendly environment, while also believing in the company mission and embodying Discount Freight & Grocery’s core values.

• Must continually grow yourself so you can effectively grow your team.
• Empower and encourage not only your team but all departments.
• Promote a culture of safety by leading, teaching and reinforcing all company safety standards.
• Acknowledge and speak to all customers in a positive and inviting way when working on the sales floor.
• Walking customers to the product they are requesting.
• Must be reliable and dependable and maintain a consistent attendance.

Job Responsibilities:

• Keeping up to date on current prices in retail stores, while also ensuring that items are being priced correctly according to Discount Freight and Grocery’s cost and the retail value.
• Execute duties on the timeline assigned by the Manager or Team Lead.
• Replenish shelves and inventories to fully stocked conditions as needed.
• Maintain an excellent work environment by keeping shelves, display cases and workstations clean and organized.
• Receive product in accordance with company delivery protocol.
• Identify and recommend improvements to the production process.
• Perform other duties as required and/or assigned.

Experience / Qualifications:

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Independent Judgement:

• Performs duties within scope of general company policies, procedures, and objectives. Analyzes problems and performs needed assessments. Uses judgment in adapting company standards to achieve desired result. Regular exercise of independent judgment within accepted practices. Makes recommendations that affect policies, procedures, and practices.
