THE OPPURTUNITY:
We are in search of a skilled Revenue Cycle Quality Control Coordinator who will effectively monitor review, & analyze billing documentation to assure the highest quality of coordinated care. As a member of the Revenue Cycle Management Team, the Revenue Cycle QA Coordinator completes daily internal reviews of clinical staff documentation, focused reviews, and problem identification. Provide clerical assistance to the billing department and feedback to associates as necessary. Communicates all important developments and findings from internal reviews to the Director of Billing and the Director of Revenue Cycle Management.
THE ROLE:
The primary objectives of the role are:
The Revenue Cycle Quality Control Coordinator Work with front-end staff to ensure patient insurance information and benefits are verified accurately and timely
Perform pre-billing validation and charge capture
Review claims for accuracy prior to release
Identify coding or documentation issues and escalate issues as needed
Review unbilled charge reports and follow up with appropriate team member for unbilled services.
Assist Billing Team in claims submission, cash postings and follow up, as needed
Review billing collection and denial reports
Reviews correspondence and rejection data from clearinghouse to ensure submission is complete
Assist in preparation of Single Case agreements
Assist with Medical record request
Responds to patient and third-party inquiries, researches and resolves complex claims and corrects errors.
Process refund requests for supervisory approval
Complete all assigned projects as directed by the Director of Revenue Cycle Management
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum 1 to 4 years of medical business office experience, with working knowledge of healthcare billing and collections, insurance/benefits/authorizations, and patient interaction is preferred.
WHO YOU ARE:
You will have excellent interpersonal skills as you will be required to communicate with departments, employees, physicians, managers, clinical staff and insurance companies.
You will have strong oral and written communication skills, detail-oriented, and computer savvy. Proficient in all Microsoft programs, specifically Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel.
