WorkFit Staffing, a division of WorkFit Medical, LLC is seeking experienced Home Care Admissions Coordinator for 13 week contract assignments in Falls Church, VA.

The Admissions Registered Nurse (RN) in accordance with public health nursing standards, practices, and policies, will provide and arrange for Hospice care for patients/families, in a collaborative relationship, with other members of the interdisciplinary team. The Admission Nurse makes initial nursing assessments, judgments and treatment decisions based on patient/family needs and wishes in accordance with professional skills.

Monday through Friday days (8am-430pm)

13 week contracts

Great Pay offered! $50 per hour!

Education and Work Experience

. Initiates appropriate referrals to other disciplines and/or community.

2. Implements approved emergency medications appropriately and effectively.

3. Initiates preventive and rehabilitative nursing procedures to maximize quality of life.

4. Functions as a member of the regional and admissions team by demonstrating flexibility in work schedules and shared responsibility for delivery of care.

5. In collaboration with the Clinical Supervisor and Executive Director, conducts orientation, teaching, mentoring, and training or supervision of the orientation and training of Hospice employees and volunteers assigned to the clinical service.

6. Participates in quality improvement activities, QUAPI program and hospice sponsored inservice training. Serves on committees or teams as approved by the clinical manager.

7. Assumes responsibility for own professional growth and development in order to improve, maintain and develop new skills by participating in ongoing education and maintaining knowledge of current nursing practice through journals, literature review, etc.

8. Evaluates own needs for support and uses identified system(s) to meet the need.
