Wellfound Behavioral Health Hospital is a 120-bed inpatient psychiatric hospital located in Tacoma, Washington. We are Department of Health and Joint Commission accredited. We are an acute care psychiatric hospital providing care to both voluntary and involuntary patients.

Wellfound is looking for a full time Employee Health/Infection Preventionist.

Position information:

The Employee Health/Infection Preventionist is responsible for the maintenance of the health programs for employees and for the provision of medical/health services to staff as they relate to occupational risk and Wellfound Behavioral Health Hospital (WBHH) policy. This position is also responsible for assisting with the development, implementation, coordination, and monitoring of WBHH Infection Prevention (IP) Program. The IP will develop, analyze, and interpret information relating to infection control surveillance, policies, procedures, staff education, practices, and regulatory mandates. This position serves as a resource to other staff and leadership and requires independent decision-making skills and analytical problem solving.

We offer competitive pay and benefits:

  • Salary - from $81,000 - $122,700 annually depending on experience.

What We Require:

Education:

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred

Certification/License:

  • Current Washington State Registered Nurse license
  • Certification in Infection Control (CIC) (preferred) or attainment of certification within 3 years of hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Work Experience:

  • Two (2) years’ experience in Infection Prevention and Control and/or employee health preferred
