The primary purpose of the RN or LPN / Charge Nurse position is to perform supervise and deliver healthcare and nursing services to person(s) who are ill, injured, or experiencing alterations in normal health process in accordance with the facility mission philosophy. The RN or LPN / Charge Nurse is responsible assessing & identifying the nursing care needs for an assigned group of patients, initiating the plan of care or assigning others to implement it, and evaluating the extent to which the plan was effective in the problem resolution. As the RN or LPN / Charge nurse, you are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties. 1) Completes nursing admission & discharge assessments in the medical records 2) Develop interim care plans & updates care plans when necessary 3) Communicates with the physician & transcribes physician orders for medication & treatments 4) Supervises personnel with respect to accountability for performance 5) Completes nursing progress notes in an informative & descriptive manner 6) Complete accident & incident investigations and documentation 7) Customer service in communicating with residents/family members/visitors, etc. 8) Administers medications & treatments to residents and documents administration 9) Ensures infection control procedures are followed 10) Conduct blood sugar monitoring & documentation of such *Other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing or Administrator.
