RN - Oncology and Infusion Center Job at Jones Memorial Hospital
Part-Time Oncology/Infusion Staff Nurse opportunity in our Olean Oncology and Infusion Center. This position will be scheduled up to 48 hours per biweekly pay period, Monday-Friday with varied hours. No Weekends or Nights. Must be willing to travel between Olean/Wellsville.
The Oncology/Infusion Staff Nurse is responsible for administering nursing care to patients in a safe, efficient, compassionate, and courteous manner using proper nursing measures. This position performs chemotherapy and infusion administration, information gathering, sample collection, patient and family education, supply maintenance, and coordinates patient scheduling. They are also responsible for pre-treatment preparation if needed such as taking vitals and cleaning treatment equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. New York State Licensure and current registration required. BLS and ACLS certification required. Completion of Chemo/Bio Course through the Oncology Nurse Society will be required within the orientation period. Oncology Certification is preferred. Minimum of two years’ experience in acute care nursing. Previous experience in infusion and/or chemotherapy preferred.
