ABOUT PRECISION DIAGNOSTICS:

Precision Diagnostics, based in San Diego, California is a fast-growing clinical laboratory that specializes in providing quantitative drug testing, primarily for the purpose of helping physicians monitor their patients undergoing treatment for pain or substance abuse. Precision’s objective is to improve patient adherence/compliance with their prescription regimen and protect medical practices from liability.

The RPA Engineer will work in partnership with our operations departments to understand their workflow challenges and introduce solutions using robotic process automation tools such as Microsoft’s Power Automate and UI Path. Over the past year, our technology team has embraced low code app development using the MS Power Platform and has made RPA a key focus area and sub-group within our development operations team. We’ve identified several business processes and a steady backlog is already in the works.

THE ROLE:

  • Work with internal customers to build out RPA bots using UI Path and MS Power Automate Flows

  • Evangelize Robotic Process Automation (RPA) by identifying client needs and delivering the best engineered solution

  • Apply your knowledge of customer needs and system or operational gaps to build out MS PowerApps

  • Work with customers and partners to establish your developer access to their appropriate systems

  • Build well-documented solutions using flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, and procedures

  • Participate in continuous improvement by innovations in emerging technologies and presenting these of architectural review

WITHIN ONE MONTH YOU WILL

  • Become an Office365 expert with Teams, Power BI (usage), and Planner

  • Demonstrate 100% understanding of Precision’s business processes and how they relate to RPA

  • Have action plans in place to achieve key results to business objectives

WITHIN TWELVE MONTHS YOU WILL

  • Fully understand the process flows for revenue and laboratory operations and how RPA can make it all happen sooner, safer, happier

  • Understand and be a point of contact for any integration RPA type

  • Work with Engineering, Clinical Support, and Billing teams to roll out in-product features derived from existing solutions


WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

  • Experience designing, building, and managing bot in UI Path and MS Power Automate

  • Experienced deploying and managing applications in cloud environments, including Azure and Amazon’s AWS

  • Translating business process to automation with RPA

  • Ability to understand engineering and technical concepts and communicate them to non-technical audiences effectively

  • Healthcare industry experience. You understand the role of a laboratory in our healthcare system.

  • 4-year degree or equivalent career experience. Why? Because we want to know you can finish what you start.

  • 2+ years real-world experience developing and/or architecting RPA solutions. Why? You should be ready to dive right in. No beginners please.

  • Demonstrable understanding of enterprise technologies and business context. Why? You are going to help others translate feature requests into value-based solutions.

  • Independent self-starter with proven time management and prioritization skills. Why? You will thrive and succeed If you accomplish goals rather than responding to every incoming email.

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams to drive implementation success. Why? You will have to motivate internal and external people to complete projects.

  • To be successful, you agree that technology is a key part of every business process and you will make new technology adoption part of your routine

  • Become fluent in Microsoft 365 (formerly Office635) applications assigned to your role. Common applications include: Teams, Word, Excel, Tasks and Planner

  • Complete training in a timely manner that is assigned to you. Training is primarily conducted via Microsoft Learn modules and is assigned based on:

  • Position/Job Role – Most positions require a core set of Microsoft 365 working knowledge

  • Project Role – As member of a project team, you may be required to complete training before you can engage with the project team or commence project work

  • Ad-Hoc – Based on review of your performance via support requests, training modules will be assigned to increase skills


ADDITIONAL JOB CONSIDERATIONS:

  • Must be able to sit at a desk for prolonged periods and to work on a computer.

  • This position is Full-Time, salary and Temporary 9-12 months.

  • This position is currently 100% remote.

  • Option to work on-site at Headquarters once office re-opens (we have transitioned to remote work in response to COVID), no relocation assistance package.
