JOB TITLE: Room Service Food Server

This is a grave shift position

JOB SUMMARY:

The primary responsibility of the Room Service Food Server is to provide prompt, friendly and courteous service of food and beverage to our guests. The Room Service food server position requires the individual to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with management, staff, and co-workers. This function will be performed in accordance with departmental policies, practices, and procedures, and within the framework and intent of Ark Las Vegas standards

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Responsible for proper and clean uniform attire, apron, name tag, cumber, etc.
• Approach guests in professional and friendly manner.
• The first question to all guests is “Are there any food allergies or menu concerns today”?
• Remain polite and always poised when dealing with guests.
• Go above and beyond to satisfy guests’ special requests
• Must have knowledge of all menu items, ingredients, spirits/wine items and their prices.
• Use suggestive selling with choices and favorites of the restaurant patrons.
• Have thorough knowledge of the sequence of service and always follow it.
• Responsible for serving food at table whenever possible.
• Assist all other servers to give the best possible service.
• Clears, cleans, resets, and maintains station during shift. The food server is always ultimately responsible for his or her tables, including table top condiments, etc.
• Responsible for guest check transactions i.e., cash, room charges, credit cards, etc.
• Report any lost/found items to management immediately.
• Follow departmental rules to ensure safety, cleanliness, and customer satisfaction.
• Perform other job-related duties as requested.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Requires mobility and prolonged standing.

· Requires bending and reaching as well as pulling and pushing chairs up to ten (10) pounds and lifting and transporting up to thirty (30) lbs.

· Requires normal sense of smell, taste, touch, and sound.

· Requires normal hearing and vision as well as eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity.

· Work in a busy, fast-paced restaurant environment.

· Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure and effectively deal with guests, management, and employees in all situations.

NON-PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Ability to read, write, and speak verbally in English with management, employees, and guests.

· Possess the ability to perform basic math skills.

· Maintain skill in establishing and maintaining an effective working relationship with fellow employees.

· Be a team-oriented individual who enjoys working with and serving customers.

· Perception and awareness of customer needs and ability to understand requests, questions, and instructions from supervisors and co-workers.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

· Preferred experience (2 years) room service food server.

· Ability to meet age requirement (21 years).

· High school education or equivalent.

CERTIFICATE/LICENSE:

· Employment eligibility for the United States.

· Clark County Health Card.

· TAM card.
