Ministry Function:
The Rural Initiatives Project Manager supports the ministry of Convoy of Hope by building and maintaining healthy rural relationships with ministry partners by providing them with effective deliverables, such as training, coaching, mentoring, and resourcing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates, creates, manages current, ongoing, and future training tracts.
  • Schedules and manages the cycle and journey of each Rural Initiatives participant.
  • Develops the retention and metric system for improving and monitoring partner engagement.
  • Coordinates internal resources and external partners for flawless execution of online and one-on-one coaching sessions.
  • Schedules, trains, and directs facilitators in relation to delivery and content timelines.
  • Oversees content deliverables, both in creation and organization standardization.
  • Onboards content presenters into the structure and meets with Rural Initiatives presenters to address needs and adjust accordingly.
  • Manages relationships between team members, partners, presenters, and stakeholders.
  • Provides reporting for Rural Initiatives leadership and upper management regarding status of projects.
  • Develops a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress.
  • Manages changes to a project’s scope and schedule, and manages the outcomes.
  • Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes project progress.
  • Prepares reports for Senior Rural Initiatives Management regarding project status.
  • Consistently meets with presenters to address needs and adjust accordingly.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of prior compassion ministry experience, preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for adequately conveying the work of COH to outside constituencies.
  • Ability to use a PC/Mac and software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Word and Excel and Google Office.
  • Organization skills at the level needed to effectively coordinate multiple tasks, requests, and correspondence on behalf of team and projects.
  • Strong organizational skills for handling several projects at one time.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills for dealing with teammates, pastors, volunteers, and community partners.
  • Ability to positively represent the ministry of Convoy of Hope, including its mission statement and core values, to all outside constituencies.
  • As a Christian organization, Convoy of Hope believes it is critical that each staff member embraces the organization's religious purposes for which it exists and not only agrees with its Statement of Faith but demonstrates it in their lives on an ongoing basis.
