Overview:

Transdev Services, Inc. is seeking a Safety Clerk for our TriMet LIFT services contract. The Safety Clerk will input a high volume of data from multiple sources into databases for the purpose of storing accident, injury, and incident reports and assist the safety manager to ensure all records and compliance requirements are met.

Responsibilities:
  • Uses a variety of software programs and online platforms to accurately document all injury, accident, and incident reports.
  • Inform and assist operators with DOT physical expirations
  • Review data for deficiencies or errors, correcting any incompatibilities.
  • Follow up with employees and other departments, as needed, to obtain incomplete or missing information.
  • Compiles data and generates reports.
  • Creates employee safety files, scans documents for electronic storage, and files hard copy documents .
  • Responds to queries for information and accesses relevant files.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Education, Licensing, and Certifications Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).

Experience Required:

  • Two (2) years of clerical work in an office setting.


Skills and Knowledge Required:

  • Accurate data entry keystrokes with adequate speed.
  • Ability to pay close attention to details, and present good planning, organization, and time management skills.
  • Computer skills with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel). Ability to utilize other departmental and Company software programs.
  • Must be able to multi-task, work effectively with interruptions, and meet or exceed production and quality goals.
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information or issues.
  • Must demonstrate ability to work in a team environment and willingness to assume additional or new responsibilities readily.
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse workforce.
  • Travel requirement: Less than 5%..
