Job Summary:

This position reports to the Director of Safety and is responsible for providing safety leadership, ensuring program compliance with corporate standards, implementing safety directives, maintaining the programs safety performance, and ensuring program safety policies and procedures are aligned with government regulations.

We enable the MLC to deepen customer relationships by applying our expertise across many verticals (ocean, air, road, final mile, etc.). Through our vast network of contacts and partners, we offer a buffet of complex services that most MLCs are unable to easily offer on their own. Acting as the MLC, Naniq is able to capture incremental profit and deepen relationships with shippers – all to the benefit of the partnered MLC.

Pay Range:

$20-$25 per hour

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for development of business unit safety teams, audit programs and safety engagement opportunities
  • Work directly with Safety/HR/Operations to update and maintain safety databases
  • Maintain knowledge/expertise on existing/proposed changes in safety regulations as they apply to our business
  • Will serve as point of contact for the safety program
  • Responsible for partnering with the business units to develop safety strategy
  • Work to develop safety leadership throughout the organization
  • Conducts work site surveys and daily facility inspections to ensure facility and procedural compliance with applicable regulations
  • Responsible for the maintenance and updating of all required reports and records applicable to training and safety data reporting
  • Conducts routine inspection of all warehouse and office areas to ensure compliance with regulations

Qualifications:

  • 1 year safety experience
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

Physical Requirements:

The work requires routine walking, standing, bending, and carrying items weighing less than fifty pounds. Moving items over fifty pounds will be done using team lift. Must meet physical lifting requirements of 50 lbs.
