D1 Fairport is seeking a Lead Sales and Marketing Specialist who has high energy, sales experience and an enthusiastic team-focused mentality. This position will have a significant focus on member relations, recruitment and operational support.

The primary responsibilities will be on maintaining high levels of customer service by handling daily interactions and communications with members. This involves lead generation and follow-up, coordinating trial workouts and consultations, and selling all D1 products and services. MUST BE COMFORTABLE IN A FAST-PACED SALES
ENVIRONMENT.

The Lead Sales and Marketing Specialist is responsible for handling customer inquiries promptly and effectively as well as positively representing the D1 brand in the community. Must be a self-motivated, team-oriented person with a passion for sports/fitness. Sales experience, as well as experience with social media, is required. This opening is full-time, approx. 30-40 hours per week. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, when needed. Averaging 50-75 high-ticket leads per week!

Role Responsibilities:

Marketing:

  • Be a D1 Ambassador - attend outside events as well as engage in the community to drive prospects and revenue and promote D1 to increase goodwill and market awareness
  • Develop Community partnerships with Clubs, Teams, Schools, Businesses, Key leaders/influencers,

Charities, etc.

  • Aid and assist in creation of online and physical marketing materials and communications to include website, newsletters, banners, flyers, emails, etc.
  • Organize and help prepare materials for any upcoming onsite or offsite events

Sales:

  • Manage Lead generation initiation and follow-up
  • Generate revenue through sales of all D1 offerings including memberships, core training, personal training and team training
  • Drive trial & low barrier offers
  • Coordinate with Coaches on trial workouts and membership closures
  • Execute a variety of phone calls to leads and members

Member Management:

  • Set tone for all D1 employees that client comes first
  • Coordinate with team (GM and Coaches) to provide customer service and conflict resolution and deal directly with customers to provide a positive customer experience.

Operations:

  • Execute daily and weekly logistics as needed on-site
  • Coach sessions and lead training when necessary (schedule to be determined based on membership mix)
  • Be a Team Player – pitch in with cleaning and safety as outlined by general manager.

Special Skills/Competencies/Experience:

  • Experience in direct sales and grass roots marketing
  • Ability to close a sale
  • Ability to utilize Social Media Platforms for marketing & client engagement
  • Ability to understand and engage in the community to effectively market the D1 product in the local market
  • Effective time management and follow-through skills
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with all potential prospects, owners,

GM, associates, coaches, athletes, parents, and community members.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications, as well as point of sales systems (Mind Body and Loyal Snap a plus)

Accountability Measures:

  • Adherence to, and promotion of, the D1 Core Values
  • Growth of membership/training revenue through retention, providing exceptional customer service and local marketing initiatives
  • Adherence to standard policies and procedures to safeguard the assets of the company

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma
  • 2+ years of sales experience (ideally fitness related) and grass roots marketing
  • General experience in gym or training facility, familiarity with athletes and their needs; Athletic background preferred but not essential
  • Highly energetic with a “can do” attitude, outgoing, friendly, self-starter, takes initiative
  • Has D1 Core Values
  • Can multi-task well, is detail oriented, and has excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of Mindbody, Loyal Snap, Go High Level preferred
