Sales Associate - Crop Protection Solutions Job at Alpha Global Search

International Chemical Company is seeking a Sales Associate for their Crop Protection/Pesticides Solutions products who will be assisting sales, marketing, and business/product development activities in their agrochemicals business. The position will be remote (home office) basis.

1. Sales & Planning (40%)

  • Achieve sales goals by working closely with Business Manager (supervisor) by utilizing available resources; monitoring and reminding/enforcing customers’ contractual obligations; and providing professional and timely communication with customers.
  • Achieve sales growth by seeking out new opportunities and/or encouraging proposals from customers, while considering supply capabilities, development and registration timelines, regulatory requirements, and existing rights or obligations with other customers.
  • Administer receipt of customer forecasts and purchase orders, ensuring both are received under the conditions agreed the company and the customer.
  • Support communications between customers and other internal departments within the company, such as Sales; Logistics; Business Support; Accounting; Safety, Environment & Quality Assurance.
  • Manage and deepen relationships with customers through appropriate communication and in-person meetings, when necessary.
  • Analyze competitor, regulatory and other market opportunities/threats and propose countermeasures to grow/defend sales.
  • Support the preparation of an annual budget for both sales and related expenses.
  • Support preparation of annual activity plans for sales and marketing activities.
  • Implements budget, and annual activities.

2. Marketing (30%)

  • Administer field trials performed internal/external partners; from co-drafting protocols to analyzing reports.
  • Support communications between customers/partners and other internal departments within the company such as Development, Marketing, and Sales.
  • Support the development of marketing and promotional materials by utilizing data and other assets from internal and external sources.
  • Represent the company professionally and promote products/services at various industry meetings, such as conferences, tradeshows, and field days.

3. Development (20%)

  • Support existing development projects to achieve development, registration, and launch goals.
  • Identify new opportunities for expanded uses or completely new opportunities and help prepare business cases to justify pursuing such opportunities.
  • Support related communications between customers/partners and other internal departments within the company such as Development, Registration, Marketing, and Sales.
  • Support the company for other business or product development activities, as requested.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in agronomy/crop consulting, seed sales, agrochemical sales, or similar fields preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university. Open to candidates fresh out of school with degrees in related area such as Agronomy, Crop science, etc.
  • Strong communications skills both verbal and written.
  • Must be able to use a computer and such applications as Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $85,000.00 per year
