We are looking for a talented Sales Manager, who will be responsible for directly engaging in activities to market and sell the company’s complete product portfolio of climatic testing equipment to the Automotive, HVAC, Pharmaceutical, and Life Sciences industries. Develop strategic sales plans to gain market share, grow revenue, and ensure profitability. Conduct all aspects of customer interactions and strive to create long-term, sustainable relationships. Work closely with internal teams to meet customer expectations for quality and service to ensure the highest level of overall satisfaction.
Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop sales and account strategies for growing revenue and profitability within target markets
  • Develop pricing strategies consistent with profit requirements, overall business plan objectives, competition, and market conditions
  • Provide customers with quotations, technical information, sales presentations, and product introductions
  • Conduct complex contract negotiations and help manage successful execution
  • Build, manage, and maintain a strong sales pipeline
  • Conduct customer site visits as required
  • Deal effectively with customer issues and problems in a professional manner
  • Perform market research and provide analysis for incorporation into sales initiatives
  • Develop and document responses to competitive threats
  • Monitor market activity and make suggestions to equipment, product mix, and design changes as needed
  • Help define new product needs and opportunities in collaboration with customers and engineering team
  • Build and maintain a customer database
  • Develop annual sales budget and diligently monitor sales, expenses, and profitability to ensure company financial targets are met
  • Recruit, select, and train new sales staff members
  • Educate, develop, and motivate sales staff through goal setting, daily interactions, and regular meetings
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures
  • Serve as a key member of the senior management team
Qualifications:
Required
  • Minimum 10 years progressive experience with significant background in capital equipment sales
  • Technical knowledge in one of the following areas (thermodynamics, heat transfer, heat exchange, air conditioning)
  • Ability to navigate long sales cycles
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate and manage complex contracts
  • Critical thinking skills and collaborative problem solving ability
  • Ability to travel 35% primarily domestic with occasional trips to China and India
  • Strong computer skills
Preferred
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
  • 3 years experience managing a small direct sales team
  • International sales experience

  • Physical Requirements
    • Office - This position is located in an office and involves sedentary work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
