Position Description:


Clif Bar Baking Company is looking for a SANITATION TEAM MEMBER to join our team at our bakery in Twin Falls, Idaho.

The Sanitation Team Member will supply support for the sanitation lead and production team members. This position will ensure a high level of employee safety and food safety. The Sanitation Team member will ensure compliance with Clif Bar Baking Company standards and procedures for sanitation, government, and third-party regulations. Support and implement processes that meet the requirements of SQF.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Ensure personal safety, food safety and quality protocols are followed.
  • Ensure foot sprayers are cleaned and working properly.
  • Complete daily master sanitation schedule (MSS) tasks.
  • Complete daily bakery cleaning tasks.
  • Assist the Production team member and sanitation lead on production line clean up as needed.
  • Properly mix cleaning chemicals to supply to production or other departments for sanitation.
  • Perform other related duties as requested.

Technical Expertise Required

  • Understanding of manufacturing and sanitation requirements to meet personnel safety, food safety, and quality standards.
  • Knowledge of acid, alkali, and sanitizing chemicals.
  • Knowledge of Safe Quality Foods (SQF) audit system.
  • Experience with previous manufacturing plant or food production a definite
  • Experience performing sanitation activities in an organic food manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience with or ability to operate riding/walk behind floor scrubber.
  • Experience with or ability to operate a forklift or scissor lift.
  • Computer proficiency for essential functions including the internet, email, data entry, record keeping, etc.
  • Basic math skills including weights and measurements.
  • Ability to follow detailed work instructions.
  • Regular attendance and flexibility to work overtime as needed.
  • Ability to work in team environment and communicate effectively.

Education/Training Required

  • High School Diploma (or GED).
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in the English language.
  • Minimum 1 years of sanitation experience in a production facility, preferably in a food processing plant.
  • Experience in an organic manufacturing or food production environment a plus.

Travel Required

  • Less than 5%
