TITLE: Mission Support Scheduler (MSS)

REPORTS TO: Site Lead

WORK EXPERIENCE: One (1) year experience in schedule execution with one of the following scheduling software tools; Patriot Excalibur (PEX), Graduate Training Integration Management System (GTIMS), or other scheduling software tools. Six (6) months’ experience managing resources or people. Six (6) months of records management experience.

Desired Qualifications: Candidates who have prior experience on the Remote Piloted Aircraft Training Support (RPATS) program at Holloman AFB, NM are preferred.

REQUIREMENTS: US Citizen and current/active Secret Security Clearance.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to maneuver in and around the job site. Must be able to lift, bend, kneel, crouch and stoop when working. Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time. Responds to visual and oral cues. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. Must be able to handle more than one function at a time accurately. Must be able to lift 50lbs. and must meet company fit for duty requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Position Summary: The primary duty is to provide efficient and effective scheduling in support. Maintain communication with the Flight Training Unit (FTU) squadron scheduling shops. Compiles the daily event support schedule after the daily schedule for all flying squadrons are released. Assigns Simulated Mission Operator (SMO) to aircrew training device (ATD) missions, flight events, desktop trainer (DTT) events, and any continuation training (CT). Reviews and posts the schedule to be available for all squadrons.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Enforces safety standards. Implements and oversees the safety program at the site that provides a zero accident and injury work environment with no lost time incidents.
  • Responsible for building a schedule to include daily support for 50-60 ATD events and 20-30 flightline events per day for a total of 80 events per day maximum. If at any point, the combination of events requested by the FTU squadron scheduling shops exceeds 80 events per the Syllabus Event Allotment List (SEAL), will immediately notify the Site Lead.
  • Coordinates with FTU squadron scheduling shops to help meet SEAL requirements.
  • In the event of a late schedule release or change, maintains the ability to update the daily event support schedule.
  • On days when weather, maintenance, or other unplanned events affect the schedule, coordinates with the Simulator Duty Director (SDD) to execute the contingency plan. The contingency plan results are reported to the Site Lead no later than the next day.
  • When less than 80 events are requested, ensures at least one Simulated Mission Operator (SMO) is available for walk-in support for student practice events or other events.
  • Ensures SMOs are scheduled to follow the CT plan. Submits schedule deviations to the Site Lead and customer.
  • Ensures that Simulator Tactical Programmers (STP) and Integrated Mission Developers (IMD) are not scheduled more than two (2) times a week to perform SMO duties.
  • Must be able to multi-task and coordinate with multiple other units on a daily basis.
  • Follows company policies, plans, procedures, and work instructions and recommends improvements.
  • Ensures contract deliverables are accurate, complete, and delivered on time.
  • Promotes continuous improvement and the company Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
