SCHEDULER for In-Home Care
Always Best Care of Western CT is looking to hire an In-Home Care scheduler who can carry out various functions, making sure the home health aides are properly assigned to a client with the appropriate skill set, personality and quality of care our clients deserve. This is a fast-paced environment and changes in schedules happen quickly and at a last minute's notice. Teamwork skills are essential.
Communication is key with office staff to find the best qualified home health aide for each client while handling multiple situations simultaneously in a calm and professional manner.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain schedules for home healthcare aides.
- Arrange and organize schedules for clients that are in line with healthcare plans and availability of home healthcare aides.
- Responsible for properly entering client and home health aide information into a database and updating it on a regular basis.
- Reach out to clients and home health aides with regards to changes in schedules that may come up on a daily basis.
- Build a professional relationship with clients and home health aides to ensure excellent service delivery.
- Ensure scheduling system is properly maintained along with the accuracy of scheduling.
- Show respect to clients and home health aides by maintaining confidentiality.
- Keep all Management updated with regards to conflict in schedules
- Mandatory sharing for on call phones after hours including weekends
- Must have the ability to fill in and care for a client at the last minute when a home health aide calls out.
- Will take all directions from Senior Scheduler for guidance and other duties as requested.
- Will be groomed for advancement and opportunity for growth within the company as we offer training for recruiting and other duties as required.
Requirement:
- Must possess excellent communication skills on all fronts.
- Must have good interpersonal skills, must be a people-person and easy to approach.
- Must be able to multi-task and display an incredible level of flexibility.
- Must have the ability to prioritize in the face of multiple tasks and or duties.
- Should have a good knowledge and understanding of customer care ethics.
- Must have the ability to solve Client/Home Health Aide issues
- Must be detail oriented to avoid conflicting schedules.
- Must attend team/staff meetings as required.
- Experience in all levels of personal care.
- C.N.A. certification is preferred.
- Must have driver’s license and a car for some travel time.
- 2 years of scheduling and office experience required.
Compensation commensurate with experience.
