Work Schedule: Between 9am to 5:30pm PST
Position Summary: We are looking for motivated, energetic candidates for our Scheduling and Clinical Coordination team in our Contact Center who can deliver a “best in class” patient engagement experience.
Scheduling and Clinical Coordination Duties:
- Minimum two-years scheduling experience in Radiology, Surgical scheduling; Orthopedics, Neurology or OBGYN or multi-specialty healthcare environment
- Consistently meets IHS Call Handling requirements for AHT and Breaks/Meal standards
- Strong knowledge of medical scheduling processes and aptitude for electronic medical record platforms
- Clear understanding of insurance authorization processes and ability to explain easily to patients/providers
- Clinical knowledge/background and medical terminology required (Radiology; Surgery; Orthopedics; OBGYN, Neurology)
Team Requirements
- Ability to learn multiple processes and be flexible to continuously changing assignments – agent will be cross-trained into 10+ processes/workflows
- Requires 100% active team support & engagement
- Requires high degree of professionalism internally & externally
- Exceptional interpersonal skills working/interacting with patients, providers & internal IHS staff
- Ability to explain clinical indications to patients & referring providers
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision to achieve daily assignments to completion
Qualifications:
- Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or GED
- Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret electronic and printed documents with basic medical terminology such as process instructions, safety rules, and clinical forms. Must possess the ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to patients, clients, and other organization employees.
- Bilingual English Spanish Preferred
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out interactions with customers, while achieving objectives and outcomes.
- Computer Skills: Understanding and ability to utilize computer applications, phone system and other electronic resources as needed.
- Experience: Call Center or Healthcare setting experience preferred but not required
