SUMMARY

Sanofi-Oncology Therapeutic Area is seeking a talented and motivated Scientist with Immuno-Oncology experience to develop novel therapeutics with potent and durable anti-tumor immune activity in solid tumors. This role is a hands-on, laboratory-based position in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA. The successful candidate is expected to support early research programs and contribute scientific knowledge and technical skills to the growth of the Sanofi-Oncology pipeline in a dynamic and collaborative team setting.

POSITION OVERVIEW / KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Independently design and execute laboratory experiments. Document experimental protocols and results in electronic laboratory notebook. Perform detailed data analysis and summarize and communicate results in formal and informal group presentations

• Develop and perform cell-based, functional assays using cell lines and primary immune cells to assess the efficacy of development candidates in biologically relevant model systems

• Routinely use flow cytometry, MSD, ELISA, RT-PCR, and other techniques to evaluate biological function and target efficacy in vitro and ex vivo

• Work as part of a broader research team to elucidate novel biology to discover and develop new therapeutics in immuno-oncology

• Follow directives of manager in an expeditious manner to meet prescribed timelines and goals. Complete tasks independently with limited supervision

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Master’s Degree plus a minimum of 3 years relevant research experience OR PhD in a relevant discipline

• Degree in cancer biology, immunology or related discipline

• Hands-on experience manipulating and characterizing murine and human cancer and immune cell populations using standard techniques such as flow cytometry, cell proliferation assays, cytokine/chemokine measurements

• Must be highly collaborative and able to work effectively in a matrix environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Prior experience in pharma or biotech is preferred

• Experience in immuno-oncology drug discovery is highly desirable
