Position Overview:

The Scraper Operator will work in pits and quarries stripping topsoil, overburden, and reclaiming. The Scraper Operator is a full-time, seasonal position that requires travel between Montana, Wyoming, and South Dakota. The operator will work overtime through peak season, reports to the Foreman, and has no supervisory responsibility.

Position Overview:

The Scraper Operator will work in pits and quarries stripping topsoil, overburden, and reclaiming. The Scraper Operator is a full-time position that requires some travel with overtime through peak season, reports to the Foreman, and has no supervisory responsibility.

Essential Duties and Functions:

• Be prompt and timely for all assigned shifts, schedules, and projects
• Operate scraper in pits and quarries stripping topsoil, overburden, and reclaiming
• Operate scraper in a safe and productive manner
• Complete pre and post-trip inspection and other required paperwork
• Fuel, grease, maintain and help service equipment
• Assist in the field as a laborer (i.e. shoveling, cleaning equipment, set-up and tear down, etc.)
• Operate and maintain other equipment as needed (i.e. loader, skid loader, etc.)
• Work well with crew members and take direction from the supervisor
• Willingness to perform duties outside the normal scope of work (i.e. work in poor weather conditions or outside normal hours)

Position Requirements:

• Consent to authorization of a pre-employment work screen and drug test
• Consent to authorization of a pre-employment Motor Vehicle Record request
• Current MSHA certification
• Use hand tools to maintain and repair equipment
• Mechanical background and skills
• Understand instructions from supervisory positions, both written and verbal
