SCRAPER (CAT 631)
Summary
Ames is hiring for safe, efficient, highly skilled and productive CAT 631 Scraper operators for our project in Delta, Utah.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Aware of work area; other equipment and ground personnel
- Communicate with push cat operator
- Understand and maintain cut level and dump level
- Ability to keep level cuts and positive drainage
- Understanding lift thickness
- Understand soils and the changing of soils
- Knowledge of proper loading, hauling and dump procedures
- Understand stakes i.e. lines and grade
- Communicate and work with fill equipment
- Haul speeds
Qualifications
- 2 years working experience
- Perform basic equipment maintenance and daily inspections
- Comply with all safe work practices, policies, and procedures
- Maintain clear communication with staff and project team members
Working Conditions
- Travel – This project is located in Delta, Utah
- Schedule – Work assignment will be Monday – Saturday with night shift operations, must be available for either assignment
- Construction Site Environment – physical ability to stand, walk, crawl, bend, reach and climb. Lifting and carrying material and objects. Exposed to high noise levels and equipment operation on rough terrain
