SCRIBE – ONCOLOGISTS Job at Memorial Health System - Ohio
Status: Full Time – 80 hours
Hours: Monday-Friday - 8am-4:30pm, varies as scheduled
In an environment of continuous quality improvement, the Scribe is responsible for accurately scribing medical information on all medical visits and procedures as they are being performed by the physician in a clinical setting. Exhibits the MHS Standards of Excellence and exercises strict confidentiality at all times.
Job Requirement:
1. Accurately and thoroughly scribes in real time: patient medical history and physical exam, procedures and treatments, patient education and instructions, test results, and physician diagnoses.
2. Prepares referral letters as directed.
3. Accurately scribes medical information in the electronic health record creating a permanent legal document kept for the convenience and protection of the patient, hospital, and physician.
4. Collects, organizes and catalogs data for physician as needed.
5. Complies with standards that apply to the legal and ethical requirements for preparing medical records and confidentiality.
6. Must be discreet, tactful and unobtrusive in performance of duties.
7. Assumes all other duties and responsibilities as necessary.
Compensation Details: Education, experience, and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. Minimum hiring rate for this position is listed below.

- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- Completion of an approved training program required.
- Minimum of 1 year of scribing experience preferred.
