St. Bartholomew Catholic School is for you! We are seeking a dynamic elementary education teacher to substitute in second grade from early/mid-February through the end of the school year (June 9).

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in education
• Preferred State of Minnesota Teaching License
• Appropriate educational experience
• Active, practicing Catholic

The ideal candidate will have:

• Strong classroom management skills
• Understanding of balanced literacy and the science of reading
• Willingness to collaborate to plan instruction and make data-driven decisions
• Experience integrating technology into both instruction and learning (use of SMART Boards, MacBooks, iPads, and Google Classroom)
• Experience designing instruction and assessment aligned with standards
• Dedication to the mission of Catholic Education
• A strong work ethic balanced with the ability to laugh and share the joy of learning

Work Commitment: Full-time teaching position for approximately four months (no benefits). 40+ hours per week. Staff hours 7:45 am - 3:45 pm. Salary competitive and commensurate with other Catholic Schools based on experience.

Accredited through MNSAA, St. Bartholomew Catholic School is a K-6 school with a vibrant preschool program, located 15 minutes west of the Twin Cities. K-6 enrollment is 150+. With two sections each of grades K-3. Our average class size is 15. Our eleven classroom teachers work closely with specialists in art, phy ed, music, and Spanish. Together our educators strive to build meaningful learning experiences both on and off campus. St. Bart’s School partners with Lake Area Discovery Center, offering a NAEYC-accredited, Parent Aware preschool program for ages 3-5.
