Job Duties: This is a confidential, exempt position that serves at the pleasure of the assigned District Court Judge. The work involves the independent performance of moderately complex and varied clerical duties, which involve considerable judgment, based on knowledge gained through experience. Performs clerical work requiring initiative and judgment in making decisions affection work procedures. Types correspondence, technical reports, tabulations or other materials from notes, draft, or recording machines. Acts as receptionist, refers visitors, sets and adjusts appointments; receives incoming phone calls, takes messages or refers calls as appropriate. Maintains correspondence files for an office. Manages jury pool, schedules jury panels. Serves as a courtroom clerk and may function as a deputy clerk of the court for purpose of performing certain duties of that office
Required Education and Experience: Graduation from high school; including or supplemented by courses in secretarial science and two years of experience in secretarial and general clerical work.
