Job Summary:

The Security Business Analyst works within a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, architects, program managers and the business to produce requirements, specifications and use cases for the multiple phases of project work for the Domain Segmentation Program at Equinix. Success for this role is centered upon your ability to communicate with different user groups and organizations across the Equinix organization while translating business needs into requirements, technical design, and actionable steps and guidelines.

The Role will:

• 
  Act as an information source and communicator between business groups within Equinix and Information Security.
• Bridge between the business and technical teams to produce business and functional requirements and specifications for the multiple phases of project work for the Information Security Program at Equinix.
• Conducts basic analysis, reports and supports with various projectsResponsibilitiesProblem Solving/Assessment
• Determines and applies appropriate methodologies and tools for analyzing a range of standard, functional and/or cross-functional issues
• Build and maintain use cases and user stories from the Equinix business focused on Identity and Access Management.
• Ability to work with business users, technical engineers, and architects to produce requirements, high level, and detailed designs.
• Assist with production of operational procedures.
• Assist with production of training guides.
• Continuously improve existing business processes and strive to develop new ones to improve efficiency.

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years? work experience as Information Technology Business Analyst or a degree in computer engineering, business administration, or related field with experience in Information Technology.
• Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work within globally dispersed and cross-functional teams.
• Preferred experience working as a Business Analyst in Identity Access Management.
• ? Broad knowledge of information technology in various application and infrastructure platforms including network (physical, virtual, internal, cloud), system platforms, storage, directory services, and end user computing.

Collect & Map

• Collate Inventories from Networks, VMWare, Claroty etc for Mapping of Systems (T1) End User Devices (T2) and Support Tools (T0) to Domains
• Map Systems (T1) and Support Tools (T0) with business operations, maintain stakeholder listings (existing & net-new needed)
• Map Systems (T1) and Support Tools (T0) with design principles (existing & net-new needed)
• Map to Domain(s) (IBX, Corp and/or Mgmt)
• Collect/Develop & Map End User Use Cases with end User Devices (T2), Systems (T1) and Support Tools (T0) [day in the life of?]
• Desktop Application Usage Survey
• Map/Track design solutions to ensure list of design decisions and use cases are addressed
• Update Lucid/ docx icon Solution Design mapping as needed
• Update & maintain design diagrams/architect diagrams/process diagrams
• Determine orders of magnitudes for solution proposals to assist with costing and BOMs through asset analysis and sampling

Analyze

• Analyze & confirm all design options conform to design principles & tiering model
• Analyze & elevate any gaps in design to Lead Architect to address
• Analyze & cross compare to ensure alignment between diagrams and Solution Design document
• Assist in identification of, and document all shared Tooling (T00) Systems
• Analyze multi-domain systems (T1) against criticality/supported business functions
• Present to Architect(s) for decisioning (Duplicate, Move, Retain with Risk Mitigation)
• Prepare Risk Data for Stakeholders Decisioning
• Provide other analysis results to Architect for review & feedback as needed
• Prepare and compute BOMs based on design solutions

Support

• Work in group design sessions with Project team & stakeholders
• 1on1 Working sessions with Lead Architect
• Share screen & support design in working sessions

Document

• Update Business Solution Documentation as design matures
• Capture any additional exceptions not originally captured n Q1 requirements
• Create any new/ADHOC design documentation needed for review/sign off
