As a Defense Mission Professional, you’ll bring your policy, process, authorities, planning and execution subject matter expertise to work on the projects for the DoD. You’ll provide operational oversight and project management for security cooperation operations, activities, and investments that gain access and build Allied and partner nation security force capabilities and capacity, in partnership with US interagency and international contributors. Support the tracking and maintenance of Build Partner Capacity (BPC) program lifecycle assessment, training, equipment and services to inform the development of future Build Partner Capacity (BPC) programs and support U.S. Army client agility in responding to and reporting project changes. You’ll guide the work we do for Department of Defense and the solutions we deliver for security cooperation planning. You Have:
Experience with security cooperation planning and execution processes mandated by NDAA 17 and NDAA 2022, including Significant Security Cooperation Initiative (SSCI) and Building Partner Capacity (BPC) centric planning and proposal; also known as Partnership Assessment and Initiative Design Document (IDD) development
Experience with researching and analyzing the DoD and federal policies and directives and developing and presenting recommendations to support client requirements
Experience with coordinating and leading planning teams, working groups, and meetings with large groups
Knowledge of DoD institutional capacity building and the assessment, design, monitoring, and evaluation guidance and processes
Ability to be a self-starter, work independently and as part of a team, manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment, analyze complex data, and prioritize tasks
Ability to travel through the Indo-Pacific area of responsibility
Possession of excellent oral communication skills, including speaking to senior military and civilian leaders frequently
Secret clearance
Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience working in U.S. government entities and DoD or DoS security cooperation or security assistance programs or Master's degree and 3+ years of experience working in U.S. government entities and DoD or DoS security cooperation or security assistance programs
Nice If You Have:
Experience with researching and analyzing legislation and federal regulations, with an emphasis on security cooperation topics
Experience with DoD pseudo-FMS or FMS equipment and training databases, including SCIP, DSAMS, or SanWeb
Experience with SC Title 10, Section 321, 312, 332(a)(b) and 333 Databases, including Socium or OHASIS
Knowledge of formal DoD and US Army staffing processes
Master’s degree in International Relations, Foreign Policy, or a related Business field
Project Management Professional Certification
DSCU Security Cooperation Management, Security Cooperation Management Policy, Programs, and Planning, or Security Cooperation Basic Certification
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
