Security Guard - 1st & 2nd Shift Job at Career Connection Network

$15.50 - $16.00 an hour
***MUST have a current & verifiable NYS Security License***
The following shifts are available:
- 1st shift: Full-Time, Mon, Tues, Thu, Fri & Sat, 7:00am - 3:00pm - $15.50/hr.
- 2nd shift: Full-Time, Mon - Fri, 3:00pm - 11:00pm - $16/hr.
- 2nd shift: Part-Time, Mon, Fri & Sat, 3:00pm - 11:00pm - $16/hr.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Controlling access to company facilities & operations withing the guidelines established for each facility: creating & logging visitors, vendors, contractors & responsible for escorting terminated Associates as required.
- Logging both entering exiting vehicle traffic, checking trucks/trailers onsite.
- Handling phone calls to the facility, logging calls & properly routing inquires to the proper departments or individuals.
- Must be familiar with the operations & layout of the facility assigned to (i.e. entrances, exits, location of fire & emergency equipment, etc.)
- Make patrol rounds.
- Manning & observing video surveillance cameras located throughout the facility & outside perimeter.
- May also be responsible for opening/closing down the plant as needed.
- Perform other related duties or assignments as required.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 6mo – 1yr of experience
- NYS Certified
- Ability to read & interpret documents such as safety rules, operating & maintenance instructions, procedure manuals & complete routine reports/correspondence.
