Danversport Events is seeking a responsible, friendly and qualified person to join our team for the position of Building Security/Closing Assistant. The Building Security/Closing Assistant works with managers to ensure a safe environment for guests and employees, and helps secure the building at the end of the night. The position is unarmed.

The ideal candidate will be responsible, enjoy working as part of a team, and have strong communication skills.

All persons considered for these positions must have weekend and evening availability. Shifts occasionally are scheduled for holidays. Most shifts are 5-6 hours. A consistent schedule will be created, with some flexibility needed to accommodate business and scheduling needs.

Primary Job Duties

· Maintain a constant visible, friendly and helpful presence to guests and coworkers

· Walk and patrol all grounds, patios, docks, external and internal building areas

· Assess potentially hazardous situations and notify management or local authorities if necessary.

· Assist management with closing event rooms as they are emptied of guests

· Complete end of night activities such as closing all patio umbrellas and putting away all outdoor cushions

· Secure building doors and windows.

Qualifications:

· Friendly, warm and approachable demeanor

· Reliable transportation to and from work and to use during your shift

· Personal cell phone and email

· Valid Driver’s License

· Strong communication skills

· Ability to pass a CORI check

· High School diploma

· Be able to walk/stand for a majority of a 6-hour shift

· Light Lifting (less than 20lbs)
