Overview of position:

FEDITC is seeking a Security Specialist to work in Washington, DC. A United States Citizenship and an active TS/SCI and SAP/SAR DoD Security Clearance is required to be considered for this position. This is an upcoming opportunity with a projected start date of (TBD).

The specific SMEs shall be available to provide consultation on a wide range of national security matters. The responsibility of these experts shall included assisting in the development, fact finding, and providing advice and opinions regarding: developing strategic and operational concepts with special attention to air, space, and cyberspace power; the effective use and employment of these capabilities by Combatant Commanders (CCDRs), the military services, Allies/Coalition members, and the interagency community. The SMEs shall use war gaming techniques to effect transformation within the DAF, as well as design, develop, and execute strategic, operational, and training games and host seminars and workshops related to these activities.

General Overview:

• Perform a wide range of administrative security activities associated with operating in a very sensitive and classified environment associated with daily operations, including the security management of all security aspects related to a Sensitive Compartmentalized Information Facility (SCIF) and, if necessary, a Special Access Program Facility (SAPF).
• The Contractor shall assist the Program Manager and Program Security Officer (PSO) with the overall security management functions of the SCIF and, if necessary, a SAPF.
• The Contractor shall conduct security reviews, inspections and accreditation for the SCIF and SAPF hosted by Checkmate.
• The Contractor shall process visitor requests, maintain personnel access databases and security files; review documents for appropriate classification; and provide initial, annual and exit security training.
• The Contractor shall assist the PSO and Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) with all security aspects of a SCIF and SAPF, including computer and physical security, and associated paperwork such as: the Fixed Facility Checklists, System Security Plans (SSP), Standard Operating Procedures, (SOPs), records, and reports.
• The Contractor shall assist the PSO and/or ISSO with reporting and administrative duties as required for security management, including coordinated access to the SCIF, SAPF, and classified computing systems and the use of those systems, such as telephone and tele/video conferencing equipment.
• The Contractor shall prepare, submit and maintain security documentation IAW the Joint Air Force - Army - Navy Manual (JAFAN), including: Program Access Requests, Fixed Facility Checklists, Security SOPs, security databases, Visitor Requests, etc.

Clearance:

• Active TS/SCI and SAP/SAR Security Clearance is required.
• Must be a US Citizen and pass an SSBI as minimum investigation.
• Maintain applicable security clearance(s) at the level required by the client and/or applicable certification(s) as requested by FEDITC and/or required by FEDITC’S Client(s)/Customer(s)/Prime contractor(s).
