Hennion & Walsh is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant for our growing company.
Responsibilities
- Under the direction of the CFO, all day-to-day accounting responsibilities will be assumed by this position
- Organize and maintain data for payroll reports, and employee records
- Journal entries, Bank Reconciliations, Payroll Reconciliations, Maintain and balance General Ledger
- Preparation of all regulatory filings and audited financials
- Preparation of Daily Net Capital Computation, including Haircuts on securities
- Month End Accounting, GL reconciliation, Daily P&L, Balance Sheet Preparation
- Responsible for sales, admin and trading desk payroll and commission payouts
- Manage and maintain human resources data and portals
- Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable and commission reports
- Payroll processing and administration
- Assist in managing Healthcare Program and 401(k) Program
- Maintain Accurate Bookkeeping by preparing and post accurate monthly journal entries, financial statements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- 5 years hands-on accounting experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
