If you are working in the public accounting or industry and want to see more exciting projects with a mix of clients, then our Outsource Accounting Services (OAS) team is right for you! This is a unique opportunity as a full-time employee of Insero. Senior Accountants/Supervisors work on-site and virtually to assist clients with their bookkeeping needs. The OAS Group at our firm has limited travel requirements (within a 50 mile radius) but some clients are fully virtual as well. This position is client facing and requires interaction with all levels at our clients as well as internally within the firm.

Current need would focus on small business related clients, but the department works with a variety of company sizes and industries.

Full-time or Part-time opportunities are available. Based on the clients that one would support, we have the flexibility for one to be able to work some hours from home/remote and balance between our office and client offices.


Responsibilities: (would vary based on the specific client engagements that change during the year)

  • Project based accounting work for various local clients.
  • Ability to prepare a full accrual, month end close.
  • Ensures an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close and financial information reporting.
  • Analyzing general ledger process, identify, clean up and resolve irregularities that occur to ensure the financial statements.
  • Communicating reporting requirements with client internal departments.
  • Assisting clients with their financial statement reporting processes including cash flow and disclosures.
  • Reviewing outstanding receivables and analyzing allowance for doubtful accounts.
  • Assisting and maintaining clients' annual operating plan/budgets.
  • Coordinating all accounting efforts with external auditors, tax preparers, supervision of staff, and regular communications with owners and financial institutions.
  • Review of operational, financial, and technological processes to provide management with assessment of business risk, internal control, and the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the processes.
  • Establishing or upgrading accounting ledgers or systems for businesses.

Requirements:

Associate's degree in Accounting is required, (Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred) along with a minimum of four plus years accounting experience as a full charge bookkeeper or Accountant working in industry (service, manufacturing, distribution, property mgmt. is preferred). Supervisory skills and strong accounting system experience is a plus. Experience with QuickBooks is strongly preferred, Intacct experience is a plus. Strong communication, relationship building and consulting skills are necessary. The ideal candidate must be able to meet deadlines, be proactive and have solid multi-tasking skills. Possess strong analytical skills and have a solid business knowledge as it relates to operations and procedures. CPA or CMA is a plus, but not required.
