Position Summary
LivaNova PLC (Nasdaq: LIVN) is seeking a Senior Accountant of Technical Accounting for its Global Corporate Accounting, Reporting and Consolidations Group. The position will report to the Manager of Technical Accounting.
Primary Responsibilities
This position will have the opportunity to be exposed to complex technical accounting matters, including but not limited to, revenue recognition, equity investments, leases, equity compensation, debt and derivative valuation, goodwill impairment analysis and contingent consideration arrangements. In addition, the position would be involved in accounting for any mergers or acquisitions and ensuring that any acquired accounting functions are properly integrated. This position will also be responsible for administration of the Company's lease accounting software.
This position is also responsible for performing and monitoring certain internal controls to ensure compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX). The position will also assist in monitoring the Company’s revenue recognition policies in accordance with GAAP and IFRS. Finally, the position will work closely with the Manager of Technical Accounting to establish and maintain the Company's accounting policies and procedures.
The Senior Accountant, Technical Accounting will work closely with various areas, including the Executive Leadership Team, Accounting, Controlling, Treasury, Tax, Customer Service, IT, Internal Audit and HR departments. This position may also be required to help prepare accounting and internal control presentations to Executive Leadership Team.
The position will also directly interact with the Company's external auditors during the annual audit process. This involves attending various audit meetings and providing relevant documentation to support completing the quarterly reviews and year-end audit.
Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting required

CPA certification or equivalent preferred

3+ years of experience of public accounting or industry experience

Proficient knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SOX compliance and SEC reporting

Proficient accounting research and memo preparation skills

Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment across multiple levels of management

Expert proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
